August 2023 update

Minor things
Renamed Programs to Programs (match & tournament), and Club Histories & Annuals to Club Histories, Annuals & Sundry Materials

On the Internet Archive uploads themselves I've started changing author name order from "firstname lastname" to "lastname, firstname", which is a bit more useful from a searching aspect, and a bit more accurate from an archival aspect. Also fixed a couple of little things there.

Apologies for the lack of updates in June.

• Added several years of Soccer World to Newspapers. Some years are more complete than others.
• Added 1980 and 1981 Newcastle KB United handbooks to Club Histories.
  
• Added an entry for Australia Cup (1962-1968) programs (only two of them at present), to Programs.
  
• Added Australian Women's Soccer Association National Championships - Junior and Youth (1984-1999) to Programs.

It looks like Mark Boric has revived his archive page. That's good news, but this project will continue to develop as a backup and alternative.

April 2023 update

Very slack this past month. Apologies.

However, happy to have received a few programs from one of our followers, Warwick, with the promise of more to come. Thanks to Warwick I've added a 1947 national team program against South Africa (home, Sydney), and a 2008 national team program against The Netherlands (away, Eindhoven).

Also added a new section, Music, for songs related to Australian soccer. That will be an interesting section as it slowly fills out, though some of the artist and title details will be sketchy.

March 2023 update

Slow going this month.
Went this way and that trying to figure out the best way to upload national team programs. By age? One big pile? By year? Settled eventually on 'A' and non-'A' internationals. That'll still cause some sorting issues, but it seems the most obvious on reflection.

Things learned along the way
A little shortcut so I don't have to deal with the fiddly bit where you have to type in the "collection" name when uploading on Internet Archive.

Shifting
Renamed Club Histories to Club Histories & Annuals, and moved club annuals and yearbooks out of Yearbooks.

Updates
Tournament programs for Australian Women's Soccer Association National Championships - Open age (1975-1997), added to Programs. Contains detailed squad lists.

A stack of copies of Inside Soccer from 1996, and 1998-2000. 1999 is the most complete year of what's currently available. Added to Newspapers.

All 30 issues of the 1990s Queensland soccer fanzine The Farr Post, added to Fanzines. A treat for soccer fanzine anoraks, and especially Brisbane Strikers fans. Issue 30 also has quite the "this reporter points the finger squarely at you, the viewer" vibes.

11 issues of the 1970s Canberra soccer magazine Round Ball added to Newspapers.

Sunday Despatch Jack Boulder's Australian Football Guide 1951, added to Books. Soccer pools book with quite a few state league and second division tables.

Added all digitally extant South Australian yearbooks to Yearbooks. SA seemed to pump these out longer than most states.

Added several South Australian federation annual reports to Yearbooks.

Added the handful of the 1960s copies I have of South Australia's Soccer Review magazine to Newspapers.

Added several Victorian federation annual reports to Yearbooks.

Added the Vic Soccer '88 and '89 annuals to Yearbooks. The '88 edition is an absolute photographic gem.

January 2023 update

Thing learned along the way
Looking like I might have to do reshuffle of a few things, mainly to do with club produced materials.

Inevitably, some document groups are going to have different name/date/vol naming conventions.

Added all extant digitised Bendigo yearbooks to Yearbooks.

Added seven issues from 1971 and 1972 of the Perth-based Soccer Scene magazine to Newspapers.

Added three Doug Butcher results and match detail compilations - one each for the Socceroos, Olyroos, and touring sides to Australia to Books.

Added the extant digitised copies of the original run (1922-1928) of Sydney's Metropolitan Soccer Football Association program/news organ Soccer News to Newspapers.

Added extant digitised copies of Northern Soccer News from 1963 and 1964 to Newspapers.

Added extant digitised copies of Northern NSW Soccer Federation yearbooks to Yearbooks.

Added a couple of issues of Australian Football Weekly to Newspapers.

Added a few things to Books.

Added a selection of the local extracts of the Australian version of Shoot magazine to Newspapers.

Added three seasons' worth of The Brown Bugle, a University of Queensland Soccer Club newsletter/fanzine to Fanzines.
